March
Juvana’s got plenty of fish, and even early on they are ready to feed. On recent March trips, groups have been into them pretty quick after settling in. While early March can still feel quite wintery, the lake’s high stock means you don’t have to wait long for the action to start if you find them.
April & May
Spring is when the fish really start moving, and Juvana’s island layout comes into its own. The setup means a group can cover a massive amount of water between them and work together to track the fish. It’s a great time of year for a social trip with plenty of consistent action.
June – August
Summer on Juvana is reliable and highly sociable. The island layout and short walks between the swims make it ideal for groups of mates who want a relaxed holiday-style pace. The fish are active, and the lake’s large grass carp come into play during the warmer months for anyone who enjoys targeting them.
September & October
Autumn offers a great balance of serious fishing and a relaxed trip. The weather is often settled, the action is steady, and the close proximity of the swims makes it a very easy, good-natured lake for a group to fish together as the carp feed up for winter.
November
November offers a strong finish to the season with the fish in top condition. The lake has given some of its best weights in recent years during these weeks. It is an underrated time to visit and well worth a look if you’re flexible on dates and want to target the biggest fish at their heaviest.
