Carp fishing holidays at Lake Juvanzé
Lake Juvanzé is a fun social carp fishing lake with a strong stock of carp to 63lb, offering easy fishing and plenty of action, making it ideal for groups of mates and anglers of all abilities. There are several carp over 50lb, plenty of 40s and lots of 30s, so you can expect to catch plenty of fish here. Both Lake Juvanzé and Juvana offer a very similar style of fishing holiday, designed to meet demand for this popular social fishing experience.
Juvanzé was designed as a social lake for groups of mates that prefer to fish close together on holiday, just like Juvana, with four swims all along one bank and a central social cabin between them. The cabin includes a TV, internet, kettle and drinks fridge, making it the main spot to relax together when the rods are quiet.
The lake covers around 5 acres, with plenty of water in front of each swim and lots of features throughout.
Ideal for 4 anglers, although the two centre swims can be used as doubles, with a maximum of 5 anglers. The lake also has a kitchen, BBQ and undercover eating area, giving groups everything they need on site.

March
March is usually a great month to fish Juvanzé. The lake’s been rested since the end of November, and the carp are usually very catchable. Early March can still feel quite wintery, but once you find them they’re usually active and feeding from the off. There’s also something special about being the first angler to land a fish after the winter break, especially when they’re carrying those darker winter colours and looking absolutely pristine. With a healthy stock of carp, bites often come quicker than many anglers expect at that time of year.
April & May
April and May are prime months for consistent action. Because Juvanzé is a relatively shallow lake, the water temperature reacts quickly to the spring sun, getting the fish moving and feeding hard much earlier than on deeper venues. With plenty of carp on the move in large groups, it’s one of the most reliable times of year for big hits. The milder weather also makes it ideal for a social trip where you can expect plenty of action.
June – August
If you enjoy warm weather and long evenings around the BBQ, this is your time of year. The fish are active, regularly showing themselves and generally not too difficult to catch. It’s easy to see why summer remains popular with groups of mates. The fishing is often good, the weather is warm and the social side of the lake really comes into its own, with the social layout keeping everyone together to enjoy the atmosphere that makes Juvanzé so popular.
September & October
September and October are traditionally some of the most popular weeks of the year. The weather is often settled, the fish are feeding hard and catches can be exceptional. It’s a popular time for groups looking for numbers and consistent action, which is why many of our regulars book these dates well in advance. Big hits are always possible and it’s a period that consistently produces some of the lake’s best results.
November
November is one of the most underrated months of the year. Between October and November it’s common to see fish put on several pounds as they get on the munch ahead of winter. By November they’re often carrying some of their best weights of the year and looking absolutely incredible. For anglers prepared to wrap up a little warmer, November can produce some excellent results. If you’re thinking about an early or late-season trip, we’ve put together a guide to carp fishing in France in March and November.
